TWTW - the one with the baby celebration

You know your weekend will be full of fatassery when your first three photos are of a delicious Brother's meal and ice cream. Kim and Steve arrived from Boston and we met her mom at Brother's for some chowing down and catching up. About the only productive thing I did Friday night was paint my nails (Happi by Zoya).
Saturday Kim & Steve headed to the city and I did some shower favor assembling, laundry, food prep, etc. before heading to uh, the shore, where we were not supposed to be this weekend. My Dad and Carol were landlording for us, but MFD had a mum gig in Strathmere so I went along and had some food and a beer and caught up with my boss and his family who were on vacation there before heading to Maggie & Shawn's pool party to close out the night.
Sunday we were graced with MBD's presence in Langhorne, so Kim and I stopped over at Laura's mom's to see him. Isn't he the cutest? He's so cuddly and I love him so much.
Sunday afternoon was reserved for showering Baby O'Connor. Kim and I emerged in the exact same dress and black and gold shoes. Hilarious! At her bridal shower Kelly and I wore the exact same outfit. Kim's mom threw a lovely party at Christine's with great food. My heart is always fuller after an afternoon with my old guard ladies. Especially when it's in celebration of an awesome life event. Steve was a great shower sport even though he may knife me for this hat photo.
Weekly food prep: Breakfast - zucchini pie + fruit, lunch - grilled chicken thighs (marinating here) and veggies, dinners - quinoa enchilada casserole + pork tenderloin with roasted potatoes and veggies.
I also finished a book (Storm Front by John Sanford) and started another (Valley of the Moon by Melanie Gideon), and watched the first three episodes of Stranger Things and a few episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I changed sheets, did unending loads of laundry, blah blah. MFD gave two dogs baths and it's up to me to corral Gus, the notorious bath hater.

  6. You slippery eel... That's so true! Where did July go? Hell! Where did June go?

I'm going to have to check out Stranger Things. Someone else I know was talking about it.

My weekend was low and slow as I was recovering from a social hangover from being in Sin City last week.

I NEED that pretzel tray in my life. That would be the perfect thing to take to my Bible study every time. I gotta search for one.
