  12. You had quite the weekend, girl!

    Thoughts:
    - That 3 tiered birthday cake looks fan-bloody-tactic! (I have no idea what prompted me to say that, 'cause I'm not British!)
    - Two massive concerts with three legendary artists in two days = epic! I can totally see how'd you be worn out, but I hope it's in the best way!
    - I love the pic of your dog with his/her head cocked to the left (the dog's right). It looks as if he/she is saying, "Really?" or "Whatcha doing?" LOL!
    - Congrats on the dryer!

  13. That cake looks amazing. Cheers to a new dryer AND you made it to Paul Simon!

Funny story: Sting is my least favorite music ever. I'm sure he's a great person, I just can't listen to it.

    Cilantro lime cauliflower intrigues me.

  14. That cake - oh my. It looked amazing and almost too good to eat! I love your hydrangeas. They are one of my favorite flowers and I wish I could grow them. This was a super quiet weekend for me and spent most of it reading with Max next to me, which kind of made it the best weekend.

  15. i'm worn out just reading this. but holy mother of all the cakes in the world that one looks amazing!! and yay for a new dryer!! i always snarkily say to KC that (insert snotty better than you voice) at home we don't use the dryer, we hang all our clothes on the line - but good lord the dryer is my favourite thing ever and i hate the clothesline now hahaha. we don't even have a proper one here, only a clothes horse (um, i don't know what it's called here), not to mention the whole winter thing here makes it hard to hang clothes out all year round. so yay for dyers.
that picture of you with the books in front of the building needs to be one of your new header up there pictures. haha. it's fabulous!

  16. I would be worn out too, but it sounds like you had such a fantastic weekend with lots of concerts and celebrating! Hydrangeas might be my favorite flower, and the ones from your front yard look so beautiful!

  19. Paul Simon would be such a fun concert!!!! Love that polish color! I haven't made sloppy joes in awhile, I think it is time. Having them for lunch is even smarter! Maybe I will remember that next week. This week I was lame sauce and it is peanut butter sandwiches, carrots and celery and apples. Your hydrangeas are gorgeous!!!!!!!!!

  20. Your hydrangeas are so pretty! And yay for a new dryer, isn't it funny how excited we get over new appliances now. They make life so much easier when they're newer and working properly. The concert looks like a lot of fun, and YUM to that cake :-D

  21. That cake looks amazing! Never seen anything like it. I love the purple and sparkly nails. My nail game is seriously slacking over here. Good to hear you finally got a new dryer...I'm sure that eases the burden of laundry which is already a burden imo. lol

  22. The summer heat is making me resemble your dogs. Except way less cute. I'm so glad that the concert was awesome - I loved the #youcancallmeal.

  23. That cake looks amazing! I am also loving that nail color. You have me wanting to do a light purple for my next pedicure. I got a little crazy at the salon last time and went for yellow and although it is cute and bright, it really sticks out.

  24. I swear that you manage to get so much done on your weekends! I love it. I'm especially jealous of your continual mass exodus of stuff, good job. And I want your back patio with dog and quiet time after good sleep. Concert looks fun too!
