Looks like we made it

There is a sense of accomplishment in making it to Friday the first week of the new year, isn't there? We did it. Today, we're all champions.

This week I've gotten rid of four bags/boxes of varying sizes, I've got my first book of 2017 under my belt, I have a good mix of social/relaxing/productive plans for this weekend, and today is one of my favorite days of the month - Linda comes to clean. On the flip side I chose sleep over shower this morning, wasted 30 minutes on hold with the City of Philadelphia for no reason, Paul Ryan is attempting to de-fund Planned Parenthood for the 20398403284230948th time, and holiday eating has left me feeling like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, looming large and angry over a city that will not yield any more Christmas cookies. Yin and yang.

Whatever you have going on, I hope it's a good balance at the bottom line.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I have that same puffy feeling.
Not going to bode well when I start half marathon training next week.

  2. lol at the marshmallow man comparison. Boy, do I feel you on that one. If I just count donations and recycle, I'm 3 bags (I don't want to count trash in my 30 bags, that's my goal.) Need to catch up this weekend, but thankfully all that's planned is getting my hair done tomorrow so I can clean out John's car and get 12 bags from that alone...

  3. Now singing that Barry Manilow song.
Lots of cookies left ! I'll just have to move more. Let's all be safe and sound all the way around in this cold and ice and snow. I would not mind winter if we never had ice or snow. Especially on the roads.
    Love. Your. Momma.

  4. I choose sleep over showering in the morning all the time lol! And I can't describe how upset I am over this Planned Parenthood debacle. Are they that naive about the affordable healthcare for millions of women that they'll be throwing by the wayside?! *Ugh* On a happier note, it's Friday - have a fabulous weekend <3

  9. Totally feeling like the marshmallow man. We are anxiously awaiting snowpocalypse 2017 down here in the south. The whole state shut down this morning and there's no bread or milk to be found on shelves in stores.

  12. Can people just leave Planned Parenthood alone? Nobody is making you go there! Sigh. I really hope it's not defunded, because it helps with SO much.

At any rate, I'm so glad that it's Friday as well!! I have a couple fun plans this weekend, and some nice relaxing time as well, which is great!

  14. Let's see I work as a special ed para and re entry after break was beautiful! The Behavior analyst that I work with told me I was killing it and liked what she saw. This was a huge relief since I often feel as if I'm on an island!
However my anxiety is way up due to family members traveling, and a beloved security guard at the local high school passing away.
As for the marshmallows man umm absolutely!

I finished my first book too.

Some day, I will have a cleaning lady. It's a dream.
