Thursday Thoughts - But if I could give you everything I would all the forests and the flowers and the seas

The cutest, most sensitive, insane, sleepy dog who loves pillows and blankets and sleep.

Wings for lunch are a work from home game. I would not eat them in the office.

In office day today so of course it's raining. Thankfully there was a reprieve while I was walking from the train station to the office because I am well out of practice of juggling a coffee and umbrella since I rarely go out in rain that necessitates an umbrella anymore.
Happy birthday Michelle! Michelle's bday was yesterday. We have been through the things, man. For the past 20 years. I met her for ice cream yesterday and we did an in person catch up which is always good. Friends you can turn to for anything are everything.
Bargains. I love when TJMaxx has what I was going for. You cannot beat the deal.
Tis the season.

Appointments. I set my physical appointment, my skin scan appointment, and mammo. Get them set people!

Round 239482348 with Mister Softee goes to MFD. More on that in this caption for those unfamiliar with the long standing standoff.

Attention everyone wanting religion in politics and public schools: familiarize yourself with things other than the 2nd Amendment, which also does not say what you think it says. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." In simple terms, this part of the 1st amendment means the federal government will not establish a state church, or give preference to one faith over another. Your religion is for YOU. Not to govern with or rule with. That is literally the opposite of what America as we know it was formed for. What your religion says about abortion or sexuality is not my care or concern and it does not belong in laws or schools and has no bearing over books. Bye.

Hair appointment means Brother's Pizza. Proximity, baby. Thanks to Kristi for the freshen up and the conversation as always!

Outside my front door. My gargoyle Boudicca and flair.
What would Ida B. Wells do? A lot more than we're doing. Juneteenth is Sunday, observed Monday. Pay Black people. Close the racial wealth gap.

Preparing for vacation, one million things happening, my brain is a scrambled egg. And the only thing I've wanted to do all week is lay down LOL. Or do things that have been un-done for months but suddenly seem urgent

Strawberry Moon.
Scenes from an errand.

Happy birthday to my Mom on Sunday!

Happy Father's Day Dads! Support to anyone who isn't down with the day for any reason.

What appears beyond the hyphen in Thursday Thoughts titles is what I'm listening to when I'm starting this - this week is The Mtn Song by Rayland Baxter

Thursday Thoughts - All caught up in the reverie, every word is a symphony

Phoning it in on this one because out of office

Reading a lot of library books. Show Us Your Books is Tuesday.

Getting some time in with my BFF Michelle and little girlfriend A and even a few minutes with Bob.
Enjoying an emptier town.

Spending time together, but not too much time. We're still us, just us on vacation LOL
Living my best life, basically.
Discovering tile under the gross glued down to within an inch of its life carpet in our apartment vestibule. Hallelujah and amen, I thought it was concrete and I was going to have to clean it, prep it, prime it, and paint it. Nope. I just need to use every ounce of strength and carpet adhesive dissolver to get the glue up.

Urging people to escape from the cult. If you or anyone you know needs to be deprogrammed, there are people who can help. If you find yourself unable to see any fault in someone, especially someone in a position of power like the White House occupant, please turn off Fox News, close out Breitbart, and seek help immediately. Please lord lock me away if I spend my energy worshiping a mortal man, my money on a stamper, and my spare time on shit like this, for fucking real.

What's new with you?

Linking up with Kristen

Thursday Thoughts - Same as the wind blows

1. Sometimes I have to walk past my dining room table and say FUCK IT! I'll do it tomorrow. This is a combination of stuff that came home from the shore, stuff that needs to go to the shore, stuff that was bought and needs to be returned, mail I went through, work bag, and empty clothes bag.

2. Have I mentioned how terrible pugs are with heat? Exhibit Geege.
3. Happy birthday to one of my BFFs today! Michelle is someone I'd call to help me bury a body and I'd expect the same call from her. Then we'd go out for Mexican after. I trust her implicitly, with anything and everything. Love you so much Michelle, have the best birthday!
4. Stamp options rock right now.

5. Do you guys wear Athleta? Pieces cost one million dollars each but good lord it is worth every blessed penny. It's comfortable and doesn't look like you're walking around town wearing a schlumpy bag of dicks. The metro line at least, of which I have shorts, capris, and skorts. Be honest. My description has enticed you, hasn't it?

6. From the never say never category: I have always been all I will never do my own toes, I hate it and I refuse. Cut to me dialing that shit back. I've realized I might need to give up getting pedicures for the summer at least. I know, I know, the time to get them IS in the summer. But I get one, I go to the shore, and it's destroyed in five minutes from the sand/sun/water/walking barefoot. It's basically like flushing $40 down the drain. I freaking hate doing my own toes but I'm going to give it a go. I do my own nails so it's not like I don't have the stuff.

7. Check these out:
Seth Abramson's twitter thread on what happens if trump attempts to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and Rick Wilson's twitter thread on similar
Eric Garland's twitter thread on what's gone on and The Resistance, which made me laugh and cry
How a major crisis could redraw the political map overnight video or article - really important in light of the shooting at the congressional baseball game practice field yesterday. I sincerely hope that was not our Reichstag Fire.

8. My eyes are on an Attorney General who can't recall a damn thing - do we want someone like that in charge of the Justice Department? - and Senators working in secrecy on a healthcare bill. Why so secretive, Senators? Show us the bill.

9. There's still time! I am still hosting a KEEP Collective fundraiser for 350.org - an organization working in more than 180 countries to keep carbon in the ground, help build a low-carbon economy, and pressuring the government to limit emissions. If you'd like the link to peruse with no pressure to buy, it's in the comments below. If you'd like to be added to the FB group, please let me know. This photo is some of my favorite keep stuff - bracelets and charms shown here, interchangeable and you can essentially wear something new daily. They also have necklaces and keychains. 50% of commissions will be donated to 350.org. If you'd like to peruse, click here to shop my link.  A few of my personal totems from Keep:

10. E-card of the week.
