Merry Merry, people.

That photo of the dogs is a perfect depiction of what life is like in our house.

From us to you - Happy Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Solstice, Happy Kwanza, Happy December if you're celebrating nothing in particular this month. Peace and love to everyone out there missing someone extra hard during this time or feeling alone or lonely.

I see you, Clarence.

Remember, Show Us Your Books Favorite Reads of 2017 is Tuesday, December 26! See you back here for that.

Christmas cards she sends me, with her regards

Fellow Bruce Springsteen fans know I'm singing the first line from one of my favorites, For You, and substituting Christmas for Princess. As you can see, there are no princesses in this Christmas card. We went with the reality Christmas card this year - no showers, no makeup, no problem. Real life at the shore, and thanks to Joe for taking the photo.
On Christmas Eve Eve, I'm wishing you and yours a very merry everything. Including Festivus, which is actually today.

Thursday Thoughts: Merry Christmas!

Sending wishes of merry and bright days from our house to yours. I will refrain from saying and may all your Christmases be white because it's going to be over 70 degrees in Philadelphia today on Christmas Eve and I'm wearing flip flops. There's a snowball's chance in hell of a white Christmas around these parts but we're rolling with it.
Don't forget to join Jana and I for Show Us Your Books: Best of edition on Tuesday!
