Sometimes you just need a little something to lift your mood, especially if you're stressed or just feeling kind of "blah."

Like you, getting reading is high on my list ... I can just shut out the rest of the world and get lost in a new one. I also love listening to music and singing along. That's a guaranteed mood booster for me. Exercise (yoga in particular) is also great for my most stressful days. As soon as I begin, I'm focused on something good for myself and not on whatever is making me crazy at the moment. I know yoga isn't for everyone, but it has seriously helped me so much with my sleeping habits, depression, anxiety, and overall stress!

I hope you get out of your funk soon. I know how much it can suck to just not feel like yourself! When I get like this, I at first think that I want to curl up on the couch, block out the world, and watch Netflix all day. But after a bit that makes me feel worse, so I turn to some of the same things you listed: painting my nails, cleaning my apartment, rearranging or reorganizing something, reading and/or writing. Getting my body moving with a run helps too, and so does unadulterated belly-laughter. That always fixes more than I give it credit for :)
Hope you find your way out of this soon. Some of it was actual disappointments but there was some that was just a bad mood. What helped me was a hardcore cleaning session, wine, and Skyping with a good friend. If I'd had time, I probably would have broken out one of my favorite movies and shut down social media to get lost for a few hours. I tend to just want to sit on the couch with a blanket and a good book too, it just allows me to sort of pass the blah time without dwelling on it too much. I've found hiking can be good too if it is nice out and we have a plan for where to go, it usually helps to jolt me out. I have to say sometimes cleaning or organizing too, just something that is "fixable" in that moment, I guess controllable.
