That's fucking amazing! I need to get a mileage rewards card at some point, but I usually just stick with cash back cards. I've been avoiding opening another card (I feel like I have so many as it is), but when I do, it will likely be a mileage rewards card. I would prefer to get one that doesn't restrict me to a specific airline, though, because we tend to use airlines based on cost and flight times and aren't loyal to any particular one.

I really want to go to New Orleans at some point. Eric and I have both never been, and it was on our list of potential locations for our anniversary trip last year. My husband has started traveling more for work - I told him he has to keep it up through all my kids graduating so I can join him. He works. I tour. Perfection! Love that you are taking your Dad. I take my mom, but only domestically. She's a hot mess in Europe - never again. She has too much anxiety over every little detail. You will love NOLA. Say hello to Bourbon street (because you just have too) and then move on. So many beautiful sites. One of the best things I did there was a walking historical cocktail tour - it was just so awesome! For overseas, we have the AA credit card, but we too are not fans of AA. So, for traveling to Europe we booked Air Berlin (Germany) and Iberia (Spain). You can transfer AA miles (or avios if you do British Airways or Chase Ultimate Rewards) to either of those as well as Aer Lingus, which you probably already know, for your Ireland travel.

I'm not quite finished with our Paris itinerary, but we are most definitely doing a day trip to the Champagne region, which we're both super excited about. If you love graffiti, you would love all the street art here in SF. It's pretty amazing!!! Love that quote about sex, ha! So true and I never really thought about it that way until I saw that quote. And airline miles are THE BEST. Yes to getting tickets without paying, it's so amazing. A large part of my husband's job is travel and much of that is internationally.
