What I'm Loving Lately

I rarely just sort of like something. I'm usually all in with pink puffy heart love or all out. I used to do this once a month but I've gotten out of the habit of sharing things I'm loving with others so I wanted to take a minute to tell you what I'm all into recently: No affiliate links.

Tom's Slippers. These are worth every last penny of $40 some dollars. When I bought them I felt like an extravagant asshole, which I still might be, but it was worth it.

What's on my walls. Do I still like it? Some stuff has been up for a long long time and it's time for it to go. I've been ditching stuff at will and moving stuff around from room to room. I often go through stuff in my house, but rarely stuff that hangs. That's changed this time around as I'm working on getting rid of 30 bags of shit in 30 days. The walls are no longer safe.

Cabela's Sarasota Plush Full Zip Jacket. I bought this in black for Ireland, then I bought it in two other colors because I loved it so damn much. I tend to do that when I find something I adore. It's comfortable and breathable and really warm. Like it can take the place of a jacket on a lot of days warm. Visually I love the contrast zippers. It's $80 on the site right now, but I got the black one for $40 and the other two for $50 so hold for a sale, please. One of mine will live at the shore and the other two at home. MFD was all I don't like this as he was wearing it for a quick foray outside and I replied something to the effect of good it's not yours and you look ridiculous in it.
The Fina Series by Ingrid Thoft. I love strong female leads in books and Fina fits the bill. Her family is fucked up and so is her love life but she's fierce, smart, flawed, and awesome. I enjoy Ingrid Thoft's writing a lot. This is the fourth book and it was just released last week. I finished it last night and I think it was my favorite so far. Go forth and secure some from your library.
I Love Juicy Shampoo from Lush. It's pricey but I love the smell and how it leaves my hair. Since I don't wash my hair that often, it lasts me a long time, so the price is easier to justify spread out. I like their shampoo bars too, but since I don't use any hair products and I don't dry my hair with a blow dryer ever, I rely on my shampoo to provide some oomph and scent. I Love Juicy delivers.

WeMo Smart Plug. I get an enormous thrill every time I can turn the lamp on and off from my phone. Yes, I am aware it's like a more expensive clap on clap off situation. You can't rain on this light parade. Plus now I can turn the lights on for my dogs when I'm not home. It's worth the $30 for that alone.
Making my own elderberry extract. Since this cold keeps popping up like someone you're attempting to drown - speaking from crime show and movie experience, not real life experience, mind - I had to make this again. It's super easy and I control what goes in it. Win Win.
Cleanbear Dish Gloves. Why do my manicures last? Because I don't wash dishes or clean anything without these gloves and I don't use my nails as tools and I use always use a basecoat and never mind it's largely in the gloves. These are strong and they last a long time before one of the fingers blows out. They're like two for $13.

Give me the dirt on your current obsessions.

  2. That smart plug sounds amazing! I HATE when I get upstairs at night and then walk by the family room (downstairs) and see I forgot to turn a light off. This could solve all of my first world problems.

I second you on the gloves. I don't love the way they feel but it's worth it not to have to paint my nails four times a week.

  3. We have Hue lights and we only operate our lights through our electronic devices. This is very baffling for our guests and we had to teach our dog sitter how to use them for when we are gone.

  4. Lots of lovely stuff! I think Alexa can do something with lights but Richie will take care of that. Love the black jacket with pink zipper. Black is where it's at for me most of the time ! Have a wonder-full Wednesday '
    Love. Your. Momma. 💖✨😇☮☮🦄🦄💖✨😇

  5. The smart plug is super neat, filing that away for later for some people on my gift list that love tech stuff! I am currently in love with fleece lined leggings from American Eagle. I bought two identical pairs because the first one was so cozy and they have pockets!

  6. You go on with your extravagant a-hole ways--if you like it, that's all that matters haha. I read the first of the Ingrid Thoft books with Fina and really did like it, I just haven't downloaded any of her other books yet. Thanks for the reminder!! I'd be all over that smart plug if I had one too, very cool idea!

  7. Um I'll be purchasing the smart plug asap. It's perfect for when I forget to leave a light on for Hewitt or leave one on during the morning when I leave (because it's dark) but don't want it to be on all day.

  8. TOMS has slippers?!? I need them! I wear slippers all day at home because I slip on our hardwood with socks on and it's too cold right now to go barefoot. I want that smart plug too! Do you have Echo too? I need to remember to wear gloves more often. I wear disposable latex ones when I clean bathrooms, but I need a good pair for the kitchen.

  9. I always like buying pretty dish gloves too... & then never use them ;) haha
I really need to look for that shampoo. My hair is just struggling this winter & needs some extra love.

  11. Oh that jacket looks fantastic on you and perfect for winter in LA too. I don't need a winter coat but something warmer than a hoodie for our cold days. :D Strong female leads are my favorite and I'm adding it to my TBR! I may need to invest in a good pair of dish gloves. Not for my nails (too lazy to paint them) but my hands are starting to look like old lady hands. My biggest issue with gloves is that they normally don't fit me well so it's hard to clean in them.

  12. Um, I bought myself Toms slippers for Christmas (to replace my decade-old Uggs) and I. LOVE. THEM.

  13. I am so excited the elderberry was successful, because that shit gets expensive. For a tiny little bottle! Nice to know I can just make it at home and it won't have any funky preservative ingredients.
I love that jacket almost solely for the contrast zipper. It just looks so cute, but comfortable too.

  14. That plug sounds awesome!Hubby got me one for Christmas that you plug a USB directly into (without taking over the entire plug) and I felt like that was fancy, haha!

I love rubber gloves. I don't wear them enough, but they're good.

  15. that jacket looks SO comfortable and warm!

i put that book on hold at the library and surprisingly, i was first in line!

  16. oooh yes i want fancy toms slippers for my birthday i think.
i haven't tried any of Lush's products in many years but i've been wanting to try their shampoo. I Love Juicy sounds fabulous.
i really need to use gloves when i clean. i never do, even with dishes. no wonder my manicures don't last!

  17. I love the look of that jacket (and LOL at MFD - I always do that too if Aaron doesn't like something - "good thing because it's not for you"). Don't know how Ingrid Thoft escaped my radar but I'm adding those books to my list. Also checking out the Toms slippers. I'm in need of some new biscuits.

  18. I have so many pairs of TOMS shoes... K would probably kill me if I got another pair... but those slippers look awesome. Plus, one for one right? Worth it.
That jacket looks so warm and stylish. K and I passsed up North Face jackets from an outlet over our MB trip and I'm SO PISSED about it. We're in the market for versatile jackets now...
That plug sounds awesome... Most of our rooms don't have overhead lighting (#oldhouseproblems) so that'd be handy.
If I'm going to start shelling out money to do my nails to kick the biting habit, I think I should invest in dish gloves.

  19. My friend Bre and I want to start a linkup like this once a month so I hope you'll play along. I love to share things I really truly love with other people. I have one of those outlets and it's awesome. Do those gloves have good grip to them? I got some that were cute but I have nearly broken multiple dishes with them so I'm looking to replace. And you're the second person who has posted about Toms slippers lately... those may go on my amazon list!

  20. Thank you for the Valentine's gift for my husband: he's going to be very into the smart plug.

  21. I'm like you... find something I like, buy multiples of it. I have the same basic tee from Loft in like 4 colors when they were all on clearance haha. I really need cleaning gloves.

  22. I love the way you word things: "the walls are no longer safe!" ha! I love it. I feel like I'm in an ongoing fight to change things in my house. I don't think it will ever end. Those tom slippers look legit - I may look into those in 1-2 months as I can tell that's the current lifespan of the ones I have now. They look like a hug on the feet! Off to buy those gloves since I need some/we don't have a dishwasher/been meaning to buy some/those are cute.

  23. That cabela's jacket looks so soft and cozy! And sometimes you have to splurge on items that you'll use over and over. It's worth it in the end lol.

  24. Ok we definitely need that smart plug - genius! And LUSH wins everything, amazing products <3

  25. 30 bags in 30 days? Sounds like no room in the house is safe lol...The plush jacket looks super comfortable and the sale price is definitely a good deal.

  27. I should get gloves like that. My manicures last for a total of 4 days. Sometimes not even that.

I pay a hefty sum for shampoo and conditioner but Ulta is have a major sale on what I use so I scooped up some extra bottles AND used $9.50 in coupons. So I'm loving that.

  28. Oh my goodness, both the slippers and the jacket look so incredibly comfortable! And who cares if it's extravagant, those smart outlets are so much fun!

  29. Laughing at MFD looking ridiculous in your jacket. We have smart plugs hooked up to our Echo and I love it!!!

  30. That plushy jacket needs to be in my life. Stat.

  31. Girl, preach about those rubber gloves! I've been using them for several years now and I can't stop, won't stop. I get gel manicures so they're not coming off anyway but it's more than that - my hands don't get dried out and when cleaning, I don't smell like bleach. That plush jacket looks amazing. I have a North Face one similar but it kind of sheds (annoying). And those smart outlets? Hell yes! I don't have any yet (key word) but now that I have Alexa, I want to boss her around like it's my job!.
