TWTW - first in May

Friday night we met my parents for dinner in Newtown. It's quite the historical little town.
We ate at Duck Sauce. I had awesome duck spring rolls and house fried rice, which has chicken, shrimp, and pork. Delicious.
Saturday morning was for nail painting, laundry, reading magazines, and drinking coffee with the dogs.
Saturday afternoon was Amanda's baby shower. As a super fabulous bonus, Eva was sprung from the NICU the day before and finally home. It was a wonderful day with many things to celebrate:  new babies, framily, and good food and wine. Cheers Sannellis!
Sunday I headed to Doylestown to be ladies who lunch with Alicia and AEB from my knottie wedding board. The company and conversation were excellent as always, and the coffee and turkey club were awesome too.
Other Sunday things...
1 - Gus time
2 - Creamy Crab and Shrimp Enchiladas a la The Weary Chef
3 - Made more food for Frank & Amanda: cheesy chicken casserole and power breakfast muffins
4 - Breakfast for the week: egg muffins with salsa, cheese, spinach and green onions
5 - This is a donnoli: a doughnut with cannoli filling. Yep.
Not pictured...
1 - Pesto chicken thighs over whole wheat pasta for this week's lunches
2 - Shopping at Marshalls: they changed the store around and were light on inventory. Hiss.

On Mondays I'm doing a picture linkup with Kelli at She Crab Soup. If you'd like to participate, here are the prompts through July. This is my photo for the prompt close up. When I take a close up of the mosaic vase on the entertainment center, I can see Gussie with his bone quite clearly. Pretty cool.
Happy Cinco de Mayo. Ole, bitches.

Don't forget to link up with me and Marla at Luck Fupus tomorrow with your April Wallet Watch results. The linkup will be live at midnight.

  5. It looks like you had a very busy weekend! I've been to Newtown a couple of times, but I don't think I've eaten at Duck Sauce before. I'll have to check it out the next time I visit. My weekend consisted mainly of working on finishing school work before my last day of class though, I did get to catch a movie, which was nice. I'm going to have to check out Picture Practice and maybe jump on board with that, thanks for sharing!!
