TWTW

Half day Friday, holler! My long-time friend Gwen (Confessions of a Gila Monster) came into town. We dropped her bag at my office and headed to Parc to be ladies who lunch over wine, a shared mushroom tart, and warm shrimp salad for me.
1 - We strolled through Rittenhouse Square.
2 - Gwen took pics of tourists at LOVE Park
3 - And got her picture taken in front of the iconic statue
4 - Topped the day in Philly off with a glass of wine at Tir Na Nog
We spent the night with the dogs, wine, and HGTV. MFD brought us Steve's Steaks.
1 - Saturday morning lounging with visits from my Mom and Michelle
2 - Sleepy Geege
3 - DD bagels from MFD
4 - Coffee drinkers, you need an aerolatte. In my circles we call it a "fuffer." It froths up your milk and it's lovely.
These are rich and ridiculous: Kooky Bars from Life Style Love.
1 - Cookie dough in the bottom of greased muffin pans
2 - Topped with a Reese's cup
3 - Add 1.5 tablespoons of brownie mix prepared to package directions
4 - Bake at 350 for 18 minutes.
We had a great night in Jersey with Marla (Luck Fupus) and Brie (A Breezy Life). I love all these girls. Great conversation, wine, dinner at Toscana, hot tubbing, and so much laughing and talking and talking and talking. I'm so glad we could all take a night off from life and just be four friends laughing and talking. It was a fabulous night! Thanks to Marla for hosting in her gorgeous home and to her husband for driving us.
1 - I dropped Queen Gween off at the airport at 7:30 and was home by 8. My nephews were over loving on the dogs. Happy birthday Jaxman!
2 - Kit Kat and Jenn stopped by and spent the morning with me too! Framily.
3 - I raked a bunch of leaves into piles. Then the dogs trampled all through them like wild animals and it looks like I didn't rake at all.
4 - Good ol' spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Other food prep: egg cups for breakfast (made Saturday), green peppers and celery sliced for snacks, random leftovers packed up for lunches.

Sunday also included magazines, Heathers (Winona and Christian, I miss you), Dirty Dancing (thanks for the heads up Dot!), Snooki & JWoww (I can't help it they make me laugh), Criminal Minds (is this jumping the shark?), CSI (loving Ted Danson & Elisabeth Shue), Private Benjamin (classic!).

Veterans: Thank you for your service, courage, perseverance, commitment, honor, dedication, bravery, and patriotism. Veterans Day is observed today, but in our hearts and out of our mouths they deserve our gratitude and respect every day.

Have you entered? One day left! Be a winner at the game of life.

  3. Maybe I need a "fuffer". I just bought an immersion blender (to wrap up for Christmas, because I'm disciplined like that).

Your pictures at the top made me miss PA and I really wish I lived near a city. It would be fun to walk around not on pot-holed country roads once in awhile.

Amen, holler, on the thanks to the veterans. Hope that someday the people who send the people to war realize that War is not the answer, only love can conquer hate AND most of all to stop being greedy and making money from being at war a la

  10. Sounds like you had a great weekend! It also sounds like I need a fluffer! What is up with dogs and leaves? Mine are OBSESSESSED with them! Well mainly Gracie (the Puggle), maybe it is a Pug thing? Mac is a little too metro to bother with piles of leaves.

  25. Your weekends leave me exhausted. I seriously don't know how you do it.

How do we live ONE HOUR away from each other yet have not spent one single moment together since we've reconnected? It's shameful.
