What's with today, today?

Source
Empire Records is king. If you don't know Empire Records, please get yourself together and get acquainted. Our friendship is on hold until you watch it.

Today I am...

...going to zumba for the first time since before MFD's accident even though I'm tired and would rather lay on the couch. I will not pass out on the gym floor. I will not pant to death.

...vowing to put all of the laundry away.
...best friends with coffee.

...contemplating painting the front door of my house yellow. I don't think MFD will agree.

EDITED to add:

See? I told you.

...suggesting that you follow me on Instagram, where I share photos of food, drink, dogs, and the sky, like everyone else on Instagram.

...wanting to go back to bed. Bone chilling damp, grey skies, no thank you. Wake me when it's sunny and mild. It is two days until spring, right?

...enraged over the media sympathy for two convicted rapists in Steubenville, OH. Who gives a good fuck if they were good students or had promising futures as college football players? They had no regards for their own futures or the future of their victim when they raped her while she was intoxicated to the point of unconsciousness before laughing with their friends about urinating on her and posting their acts on social media. Wake the fuck up America. Athletes are not gods and don't get sympathy or a pass for animalistic, unlawful, stupid, and despicable behavior. Stop treating women like secondary parts to the story. There's someone here that deserves your lamenting over how this will affect the rest of her life, and that is the VICTIM.

...beginning my next spending freeze. From now until April 14, I am only allowed to purchase necessities, an HDMI cable, a hammer, and a tri photo frame. Another Diary of Sin coming up, friends.

...sick of chevron everywhere. I still love polka dots. I always will.

...asking you what you'd like to see me cover in some future blog posts.

Thanks to Brie at A Breezy Life for the idea for this post.

Happy Rex Manning Day! Otherwise, suck it Tuesday.

I would love to see a photo tour of your house, or a Philly city guide (since I've done one), or a guide to your fave cheesesteaks!

Empire Records is one of my faves and one of the first CD's I ever bought, we still friends? Lol

Too bad you live on the other side of the country we could have a drinking/movie watching Marathon!

Polka dots will never go out of style!!!

I don't know this story in OH, going to look it up. Sounds terrible:(

You know that feeling when you get out of a warm bath? Well... you make me feel like a bath

Ahhh, I love that movie. And that soundtrack.. Gin Blossoms, Better Than Ezra.... ahhh, the 90's!

I'm totally feeling that yellow door. It's got pizazz! I say, the person in your house who has use of both legs makes all decorating changes.

I hate chevron. It's seizure inducing.

The CNN commentary over the Steubenville trial was an absolute disgrace. Oh waaaahhh, their futures are ruined. They didn't seem to give 2 shits about their future when they were violating that girl and filming it.

I need to do a spending freeze as well. You may have just motivated me to do so.

I am beyond nauseated at this rape thing. I keep sending positive energy, love, light, angels and all that is good to make this STOP NOW! I cannot wrap my head around this abuse, hatred, wtf - where does this come from to treat another human like this. Please raise your children to be kind, follow the Golden rule, etc. Infusing lights into all the negativity in the universe, turning it postive NOW.
Love and lights to all of you today and always.
Your ever-loving, optimistic,
MOMMA

But tell the hubby I'm loving that yellow front door!! Maybe he'll come around?! And a spending freeze... yep... I feel one of those coming on here, too! Happy Tuesday!

Empire Records is my favorite movie of all time. And yellow is my favorite color. Maybe you should marry me instead.

Isaiah wanted to paint our front door gray. I wanted to paint it something bright. We compromised with navy blue...

Coffee is MY best friend today TOO!!! Twinsies.

I love Empire Records and its soundtrack.

I've tried not to watch too much about the Steubenville rape trial. It makes me angry. A college friend of mine is from there so I get my info from her FB page, and I still get angry.

Yellow door yellow door yellow door.

Did you really drink all that coffee? Love the parks and rec mug! That's awesome! I hate to admit it but I think our friendship is on hold...

The yellow door will look great with the previously mentioned pink gate. Go for it! it's just paint. Do it and live with it for a year. Bet ever MFD will come to love it.

Thank you. I am so tired of the chevron it's ridiculous. Polka dots is where it's at. You can NEVER go wrong with the P'Dots.

I love the yellow door - do it while he is still mostly immobile... then if he REALLY wants it changed - he can do it! HAHA!

Happy Tuesday my friend!

what i want to know is,we are in 2013 so why hasn't someone invented a washer, dryer that also folds the clothes?! i hate folding laundry as much as i hate putting it away.

So much to comment on! EMPIRE RECORDS! Favorite movie ever. I can quote the whole thing and do, probably daily. I can also do Gina's tearful monologue about Corey's speed perfectly. What a party trick! I never thought about a yellow door, but now I want one too! Ditto to your rant about rapists. I love polka dots and stripes. I know I have way too many stripes when my two year old points out just about daily that I'm wearing them again.
