Top that!

Please don't act too cool to know Top That from Teen Witch. You know you know it, and you're singing it.

MFD and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary while we were on our cruise (September 25). September also marked 10 years together for us.

Our wedding anniversary started with breakfast together and a stint in the hot tub for MFD.

We got off the ship for an all day private tour of St. Martin courtesy of the awesome David with Bernard's Tours. Highlights:
  • free rum punch and beers all day
  • history and facts about the island
  • petting iguanas
  • holding sea creatures
  • stops at scenic overlooks
  • swimming/lounging/water trampoline at Orient Beach
  • french pastry in Marigot
  • Lunch, drinks, and planes at Maho Beach

My home video of a plane landing at Maho:

  • Voodoo Mama Juju
  • Guavaberry rum cocktails at the port

We got back on the ship, took a swim in the Satellite pool, and headed to our room. MFD surprised me with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, which we enjoyed on our veranda.

We raced up to the top deck to catch a big sky sunset.

We had a stellar eight course meal at Remy, a fancy dancer french restaurant on the ship. The service was impeccable, the food amazing, and the atmosphere exquisite. They had a stool for my purse, and when I asked for ice they brought it to me on a silver platter.

Everything was top notch save for the white guy with island braids pontificating at his dinner companion, who was loudly complaining about her boyfriend. We found out from our waiter after they left that they were actually MARRIED! Also p.s. buddy, you are wearing your hair in braids. I couldn't stop laughing.

Finally, fireworks off of the top deck of the ship. Disney is the only cruise line that sets fireworks off in the middle of the ocean. Perfect end to a perfect day. We had a fabulous time together.

After the fireworks, we just looked at each other and said, "how are we going to top this?"

TOP THAT, future selves! Even if we can't, it'll be fun to try.
