The fall weekend that was

Was this the perfect fall weekend or what? Check out this Friday night sky.
I was not expecting this when I walked out of Redner's with this week's groceries.
Weird and amazing. Thank you universe.

First crockpot freezer meals done and done mofos!
I wrote the instructions on the bag and threw everything in. It took less than 15 minutes.
I tried chicken broccoli alfredo and chicken cacciatore, which I found here on the Six Sisters blog.

+

Then...then then then. I made these baked pumpkin donut holes from Just the Little Things blog.
Stop what you're doing and make them right now.

+

Then it was on to my second job - hausfrauing.
I typed this on my iPhone and it wanted to change hausfrauing to gays fraying.
That made me laugh for five minutes.

+

Vampire Diaries.
Welcome back, Damon Salvatore. I've missed you.

+

And you too, Essie Merino Cool.
I used this polish so much last year, I think I need a new bottle.
Ignore the little side issue. I didn't clean them up before I took this pic.

+

When my alarm went off Saturday morning, I panicked and thought I was late for work.
Not a good way to wake up.

+

Coffee, talk and new hair with Kristi at Sensational Scissors

+

Why would you drive around like this?

+

Villanova soccer tailgate.
I got stung twice by a bee on my ring finger.
It's been well over 15 years since I've been stung.
By Saturday night my entire hand was swollen and useless. Thank you bastard kamikaze bee.

+

Swan enjoyed a Villanova win and a new quilt, a one of a kind Lori creation. Isn't it awesome?

+

Lori and I headed straight for a visit with Gamma and Pop followed by a trip to Brother's in its new location. When we left the line was out the door. Well done, Brother's. Well done.
My heaven has a Brother's Pizza that plays Air Supply softly in the background
as I hork down some cheesey pleasey.

+

Target. I bought the first of the Halloween candy and hid it in a strategic location.

+

Food prep: broccoli cheese soup from scratch, spinach casserole, pickle dip and onion dip.

+

Coffee out back while the dogs were out for a walk with Lori

+

Sunday morning screening of Dirty Dancing

+

These little ham sandwiches were thebomb.com.
My mom, Lori, Jenn, Melissa, Kit Kat, Alex, los perros and I had a nice day together.

+

An evening at Shady Brook Farm listening to Hank & MFD and special guest Mark play some tunes.
The sunset was lovely, the fire was hot, the smoke was pervasive,
the company was good and the people watching was excellent.
Hipsters intent on s'more making. Does it get better? I was mesmerized.

  2. Wow, your weekend looks so busy & fun. I'm jealous compared to my bland weekend. Love the Merino color though btw. The pizza looks delicious. Bee stings suck, I got stung this summer, for the first time I remember, and I was swollen for days and have a scar from it. Freezer meals are on my to do list, but I have to clear out a little room for them first!

    1. I hear you, I need to seriously go through the upstairs and downstairs freezer and make sure I'm using what's in both.

I think I'm going to do a freezer inventory system I saw on pinterest to help me out!
