the weekend that was

MFD picked me up at work and we headed to Penn's Park at UPenn on Friday night to watch Villanova play Hartford. It was my first time seeing my youngest brother play in a college soccer game.
He starts and plays the whole game as a freshman, I'm very proud! Villanova won 2-1.

Me and mom, Mom's hair mane circa 1989, and our similar feet.

+

I fell asleep on the couch, in my dress. I think I was tired.

+

Up and out by 7:30 a.m. on Saturday to eradicate my grays and catch up with my lovely friend and stylist Kristi Morgan at Sensational Scissors.

+

Surprise!

Thanks for the photo O Koro Tochi!
The day of Amanda begins with a surprise bridal shower at Brio.
I did manage to refrain from hitting The Christmas Tree Shoppe in the same shopping center.
Will I be rewarded for that?

An hour lounging in my muu muu painting my nails and watching college football

Shipping out to South Philly under Ghostbuster skies.
There is no Dana, only Zuel.

Cargating for Amanda's bachelorette

+

The Phillies game was our initial plan, but the game was rained out.
So we had an old fashioned hotel room party until the booze ran out.
The shirts were really cute and said Chase's Last Chance.
I tweeted the pic of Amanda in the shirt but got no replies from Mr. Utley.

Xfinity Live for Amanda's bachelorette. It was my first time there.
Cons: I couldn't get close to the bull and drinks were expensive.
Pros: Live bands playing everywhere, Victory Beer Garden, and we had a total blast.

Thanks to Michelle for driving, and taking care of me!

Celebrating Amanda's impending wedding equals a two day hangover.
It's Monday morning and I'm still not right.
I think it's really great when one of your longtime friends picks a spouse that becomes your good friend, and is someone you would've been friends with on your own anyway.
I've been very lucky in that department.

+

Already, leaves?

Thursday night, I made cauliflower crust pizza.
I've seen it all over pinterest and the food blogs I follow and had to try it.
I followed this recipe from Kalyn's Kitchen, but I substituted whole wheat flower for almond meal.
It was really good, and I didn't have high expectations for it turning out well.

+

Add this to the list of hangover foods.
Kentucky Fried Chicken. So gross. So good. So nap inducing.

+

I love Grosse Pointe Blank.
"I killed the president of Paraguay with a fork. How've you been?"

Some laundry, grocery shopping, and the couch on Sunday.

+

I spent a large portion of Sunday watching Snooki & JWoww, which I've never seen.
I'll never get those hours back, but I couldn't stop it.
Among the millions of things that are ridiculous on that show,
Snooki's eyelashes take the cake.

Lovely Sunday sunset

I needed a kick start to this week.
One egg bagel, toasted, with cream cheese and veggies will do.

Lots going on this week, friends. Things to do, people to see, places to be, vacation packing lists to write. Toodleoo!
