Tony Luke's pork for Saturday

+

I've been dying for Chick-fil-A, so we did that.
Then we went shoe shopping for MFD. It takes him forever and a day.
Friday night errands were rounded out with a trip to the mothership: Target.

Duck Dynasty blows Swamp People out of the water.
Between Friday & Sunday, I watched the entire first season.

Snoozing with my Gussie. I slept on the couch Friday night. It was a deep and dreamless sleep.

I've tried to read this book four times over the last 20 years and never fully got into it.
I do believe the fifth time is the charm.

General hausfrauing, plus cleaning the Keurig.

I'm positive washing roasting pans in a hot kitchen is a chore you're assigned in the sixth circle of hell.
Having Who's That Guy from the Grease 2 soundtrack come on the iPod when you're doing it makes it only marginally better. Grease 2 haters, get bent.

Saturday morning was awful earth's core heat. I saw a guy walk by my house wearing a sweatshirt.
Dude. Seriously?

Sean's graduation party sans Sean.
After starting and playing a full game with the Red Bull Reserves last Monday, Sean was asked to to travel with the first team this Saturday to Gillette Stadium and play in another reserve game against the New England Revolution this weekend. Since it was too late to cancel the party, his stand-in attended.

My mom labels everything at parties.
Our combined initials are why I never do this.
Bon Jovi, anyone?
MFD got into the signs

Sunday morning coffee and lounging with Lori

This was taken Saturday, we didn't look so hot Sunday morning.
+

A very lazy Sunday. At one point, I was flipping between Brighton Beach Memoirs, Road House, Shag, and St. Elmo's Fire. Heaven. I mostly watched Shag. It reminds me of college.

I caught up on sleep like nobody's business.

the weekend that was

My train was like the slow boat to China this morning. It took forever to get into town. I hope that's not indicative of how the day is going to go.

Wishing you a speedy and productive Monday. Get some.

  1. in the so random it must be part of The Greater Plan category, I saw a 60-something year old woman on the bus last week wearing a pink ladies jacket. I guess Grease 2 has a big European following. It looked authentic but I couldn't figure out which one she was supposed to be.

  5. I literally laughed out loud at "S & M Doyle" - never clued in to that.

I used to have a Pink Ladies jacket. We did Grease in high school and I played Marty. Alas, the high school did the show again and I gave back my jacket so I don't have it anymore. :(
