Thursday Thoughts (not by Jack Handey)

1. My main issue with Obama in 2008 and during his first few months as president was that he would not commit to plainly stating his support for gay marriage. I'm glad he finally did even though I think it's late and also GAY MARRIAGE SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. However, it is. And we cannot remain silent about things that matter. No one voted on my marriage. Why should we vote on someone else's? Here's my friend Shauni's blog, she said it well so I don't have to:

2. I'd like to reintroduce "Great googly moogly!" as an exclamatory phrase. Let's.

3. Thank you, Google Reader, for being free and storing all of my blogs nicely so I can read them at my leisure.

4. I started using a new daily sunscreen this week. I will report back on how it is.

5. Got 2 B Fat Cat dry shampoo is B1G1 this week at Rite Aid. Thank you for the info Amanda!

6. Why do I always like the dress at Marshalls that has major seam issues on every available seam?

7. The washer is on the fritz again for the second time this year. I feel a replacement coming on. Dear washer gods: please let this washer last through the end of May. Thank you, amen, etc.

8. I tried a new Essie polish: Go Overboard. It is not me. And for those of you who always have problems with nail polish staying on, buy the Orly Bonder. You won't be sorry.

9. I cannot stop buying sun hats, this is my latest that I picked up at Marshalls last night. Lord have mercy.

10. One of my talents in life is thinking up creative ways to say what people karmicly (Is that a word? It is now.) deserve. So I laughed very hard at this on pinterest this week. It's right up my alley.

All people smile in the same language. I'm grinning at you bastages. Happy Thursday.

  1. My nails are gray (stormy night) this week to match my gray hair; I am very pleased with myself for producing a satisfactory manicure sans professional. Haven't done so in years, but unemployment calls for some changes.

  2. Your posts are awesome and I enjoy reading them. I believe that is the blue I was debating on the other day. Needless to say, I went with orange:)

  3. Love this
All people smile in the same language!
Makes me think of We are all God's children and I feel like
singing Jesus loves the little children.
Your blog is always a bright spot in my day and I will read Shauni's
in a minute. Amen on the fact that gay marriage should not ever be an
issue, along with womens' health care. Diversion from what is really wrong!
Think positive thoughts that the world will get better, little by little.
Much love always, Your Momma (I will retweet this, too)

Tell me what you think, leave a comment! I'll reply to you via email if you have an email associated with yourself, otherwise, check back here for my reply. Thank you and good day. I SAID GOOD DAY.
