the weekend that was

Finishing the final book in The Hunger Games trilogy
and waking up from the fog I was in from Monday to Friday under the influence of these books
Mockingjay, you disappointed me
+
Crazy Stupid Love (Ryan Gosling, you are perfect), Moneyball (there's no crying in baseball, but I did tear up, just a little bit), Horrible Bosses ("Why did you put his entire bathroom in your ass?"), Water For Elephants (carnie movie, and I read the book which was obviously better)

Seriously? It's like you're photoshopped!
+
wearing pajamas exclusively
+
only leaving the house to go to Redbox
No longer a Redbox virgin after this weekend
+
Whitney Houston, her gorgeous voice already destroyed by drugs, dying. Don't do drugs, people. Really.
Is anyone still unclear on what can happen if you start?
I'm sad Whitney took that path, but the incessant media coverage can stop.
She was not a saint in life, and she should not be one in death.
Whitney's Being Bobby Brown gems: "Helllllll to the no!" and "I gotta drop it on the one...a boatload."

Sunday soup making - skinnytaste's baked potato soup

+
increased efforts to rely less on packaged items by making my own bisquick

+
tested new recipes for pumpkin smoothies, stuffed peppers, 7Up biscuits, and chocolate peanut butter pretzel balls. Let me know if you want me to send you a link to any of the recipes.
Pinterest people they are all on my I made it board.

+

a month and a half into The Oil Cleansing Method, all is well, but I do have to work hard to forget all the money I've spent on facial products over the years...

+

proud to be going on three weeks without using paper towels

+

Thermostat Wars with MFD

+

The Grammys
Stellar kickoff by Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band. Miss you Big Man.
Welcome back, Adele's voice.
Not a huge Katy Perry fan, but her performance was like a middle finger in that idiot Russel Brand's face.
A+ to the Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, the still harmonious Beach Boys, and the Glen Campbell tribute.
Blake Shelton, I like you.
Nicki Minaj, what is your talent?
Why is Chris Brown performing, and why are people cheering for him?
Are there people who are unaware that he brutally beat a woman?
Some things should not be forgiven, and that's one of them. The man should not be embraced.

I actually scheduled this weekend in my planner to do nothing -
the days have DO NOTHING WEEKEND written across them

  3. It is not fair that Being Bobby Brown is not available on DVD.

  4. Mockingjay...so lame right?! I wish I stopped at the second one and just made up the rest in my head.
